INTENSIVE SCORING PROGRAM – FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY
Calling CURRENT, REGISTERED Level 2, 3 and 4 scorers:
Level 2 with good iScore capability
Level 3 with good iScore capability and/or paper recording
Plans are well underway for the Under 17 Girls and Boys Nationals in January from 5-11th January 2019.
As most of you would be aware, Softball SA has a huge demand to meet the scoring and media requirements for a dual National Tournament – between 12 and 16 Scorers.
Tournament Chief Statisticians and Official Statisticians for a National tournament need to hold current Level 4 accreditation; spotter-scorers must hold current Level 3;
and iScore scorers must be current Level 2 and be proficient in iScore across complex games.
All scorers across the four task areas need to be registered with Softball SA, and then approved by the National Scoring assessor as competent to work at a National Championship.
We have arranged for Mike Hannelly (NSC) to come over and conduct an intensive Scoring program on the weekend of 11/12 August, and during that time, a number of things will occur – with the full program under development and available shortly.
Level 4 – Reviewing the Level 4 statisticians for currency, and their games and provide a refresher. (Assessment competency)
Level 3 – Scoring review, and refresher (Assessment for competency)
Level 2 minimum – iScore – course, game and Assessment for competency.
Registration for attendance is essential, as we have restrictions in the number of assessments can be undertaken.
Preference will be given to those who are seeking to nominate for the January tournament scoring team (Expressions of Interest Forms will be available at the Clinic) – and who are available for the majority of the weekend.
If you are a Level 2 or 3 who has expired accreditation, and there is capacity, we will accept on a first come first in basis.
The assessment requirement holds a 4 year currency, as do your accreditation levels – this means, if you are deemed competent, you will be eligible to apply for National tournaments ongoing.
If you are interested in participating, you must register urgently with Lindy Rattigan 0412 255189 (preferably after hours) or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Those people who have already confirmed attendance do not need to re-register.
Once the final program is out, I will advise further details of times.
