Softball umpiring and SACE credits. If you are a school student with a SACE ID and are interested in umpiring softball at either club level or umpiring for a week at the SAPSASA carnival in April 2019 it can count as the equivalent of a semester’s work of a SACE subject. Learning the rules, officiating techniques and positioning as well as game management could see you eligible to receive 10 SACE credits via the Community Learning subject. You would be under the training of the Softball SA umpiring program and successful completion leads to a Level 1 Softball Australia Umpiring Certificate. If you would like more information about being involved in umpiring softball, please contact Steve Wallace-Yarrow or about how you can receive SACE credits please contact Marni Nicholls. For Secondary students interested in umpiring and SACE Credits, please contact Marni before 14th December.
